Real Working life

Dear all,

As a lot of you know that I started working in Singapore since last december 2009. Now, I am working for a LED Lighting company. This company is just a medium range size company with just 18 of us including CEO / CTO / GM.

Currently we are dealing with several big projects such as Heeren, Universal Studio and Town Council Projects. Although I am new, but I am not treated like one. Meaning since the first day I stepped in, they threw me into the ocean and expect me to swim.

Thank God that I still can manage my job scope with a little bit of help from here and there. Thank you Mom, Aunty Agnes (though she don't know I blog), Cheryl and more! They have been helping since and I would not be able to get contacts so fast without their help.

God did the most in getting me the Job and staying in Singapore. He gave me the opportunity to work in S'pore and I will try my best and not to dissapoint HIM and those who put in a lot of effort and time to help me.

But working life is tough and meeting all sorts of people is a process where everyone goes through - Does not apply to those not working. Lately, I've been dealing with a Malaysian Customer which likes to demand things after things and in the end we are not sure if we will be getting the deal. It is like waste of effort and time for everyone in my office.

Nevermind that, I still have to meet client's requirements despite how they act. As a salesman, I have something to share. I DO NOT have BONUSES nor COMMISSION. Can you belive that? When I found out about this bad news I was like - What the heck? Meaning if you manage to bring in a 50Million deal to the company but you won't get anything from it and the company gets everything.

Next time, to those who plan to be a salesman or saleswomen, please check if the company gives commission or bonus to you, if not request and if to no avail, then you should think of what is next. As for my case, I am new in the industry and the reccession is so bad now. I can't be picky now so i took the job.

Well, it is time to get back to work. Loads of projects to quote and handle. Bye!

My Second Birthday today!

Hmm... how should i start? Okay, let's start from few weeks ago. Cheryl is always very good in making MILO. Apparently she requested me to inform everyone that her MILO is the BEST! And i am doing it now. To be honest, it tastes really nice and especially with ICE! I personally don't like to drink MILO w/o ICE. The way she stirs the MILO and the amount of everything blend together is just awesome!

Speaking of food, today Cheryl ordered Yakitori chicken + Seafood Carbonara pasta and delivered it to my office just for me! Of course she text me not to go for lunch and therefore i waited for her "surprise" lunch to arrive. The food just taste so good that i ate all! The pasta is just awesome cuz it is full of seafood! Obviously i love seafood! Plus, i have one big bottle of COKE! Haha... can ration it for a few days.

Then, 2 hours later a guy came into the office delivering a cake. Well, obviously it is mine - Cuz Cheryl told me she's sending another surprise. I cut the cake into a few pieces and i gave it to my colleagues to share. They wished me Happy Birthday and ask me to propose to Cheryl since she is so nice to me. Okay, this is a PARKER pen which definitely cost her a bomb. But i love it as it is silver finish and looks eligent. Suitable for my working environment :)

Okay, I am not used to have an organizer to plan my things but now perhaps it is time to do so. I love the leather and it feels nice to hold on to.

I am really looking for one Card Holder until Cheryl got me this today. It is Metal Silver finish with two areas to place my cards in. Which come in convenient because I can use one for my own and the other for client .

This Working Bag just look awesome. Classy and Sleek design makes it perfect for my working environment as i will have to meet clients very often. Thanks to Cheryl's Good Taste, that I can only have such good quality bags and if not for her, i would still be using my previous one. Tomorrow onwards i will use this bag and be a proud owner of a stylish bag!

It's my turn

Recently, the economic downturn has affect me and it is going to be working here or back in M'sia - K L. I trust in the Lord that He will provide not only for me, but also those who are in need. Of course i will be looking out for jobs available and not just being a sitting duck doing nothing and aspect God to just *Poof* - TADA!!! Here's your job!! - NO! I must also do my part because "we reap what we sow" as simple as that.

Going for graduation is my final aim for a joyful time together with my loved ones and all i wanted is to have this quality time with all. But last night something had happen in Cheryl's house that turned bad. I don't know if this matter will be brought to K L but i only hope not. Afterall, i feel down inside and although i never express to anyone - Including cheryl, i suffer this depressed of not having a job. I know that i have to face it and be possitive. No point whining here and there and not doing anything, i rather be looking for opportunities than sitting down feeling sad.

Well, because of this i have to for go my dream which is a Good Desktop system which i had planned to buy long ago. I shall wait for a proper time and then see how it goes. Time will tell. I trust in the Lord and Pray that things can be better.

After so longggggggggggg

Well, i have not been blogging since last december and i decided to blog a bit for now. A new year with new challenges, Phew~~~ CNY was fun and i enjoyed the company of my family members especially cousins cuz we all went for some Gaming fun.

Now back in Singapore, all i can think of is work, sleep, eat, play and so on. Working life has always been like that and i think in the future when i am assigned with more responsibilities, i would be much busier. Cheryl has been part of my life for more than half a year now and we are going steady but of course we have fights along the way. Needless to say, this is part of a relationship, right?

Few days ago, Cheryl just got her new A200 DSLR and i am happy for her as this is one of her dream to own one. As for me, i am quite near to my dream which is a CPU (desktop system). I could not agree more to it's outstanding performance compared to a Laptop. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!

Well... life goes on and i will keep on updating later. Chow for now.

Christmas

Well, i know it is weird to write about Christmas as it is already over. But never mind, As a Christian, Christmas is always on the go and never ending. During this Christmas although i never get to celebrate it with my family in Malaysia, but i made friends in Singapore and attended a cell group. They invited me to one of the member's place (Brian or is it Bryan) to have Christmas party and it is quite fun! Let us have a look at them shall we?




So, can you spot me? Hahaha... The second guy at the top from right wearing white is the cell leader named Louis and the lovely lady beside Louis is his wife. The guy beside Louis's wife is Brian or Bryan who is the one kind enough to open his house for us to throw the party. Well, i need time to know them right? I will update the names of everyone soon when i got the know them better ok?

Ok, back @ Cheryl's place we had a big part @ her aunty's place (Aunty Zita) who is living just across Cheryl's place. Nice Condo by the way. At first when i arrive, i felt a bit awkward as many new faces around. Never mind, i get to know and memorize their names in a short time (Thanks to Cheryl and Aunty Agnes's help)

The party was fun and we played some games (Don't forget the lyrics / Remember the lyrics) haha... forgot the name... Each team consists of 2 contestants and i am with Cheryl. To cut the story short, Cheryl and i won the game and got a prize!!! ITS A MUG! Haha... not to mention i have a lot of mugs already. Hehe... Anyway everybody was nice and treated me well too.

So this is my 2008 Christmas and it was fun too. Also, i attended the morning session (8am) on Christmas day and i like the church service. (Miss BMCMC) hehe... Okok... it's time to go makan... later needa work.. hor hor...

Interesting Topic in Church

As usual every sunday go to church for 1 and 1/2 hrs and go bc home after that. But to remember that, this sunday sermon is interesting. It's about Agape Love. Sounds very mysterious right? Well, let's look into it and understand better about Agape Love.

There are two kind of love. Firstly is the Contitional love and it means decision follows love. (I feel loved; therefore I will love). Do anyone of us fall into this cathegory? Well most people love one another this way.

The second kind of love is Unconditional Love and it is Agape Love. - Agape Love chooses to love but not just before there is emotion, but sometimes in spite of love. Agape is unprovoked love. Agape love is a choice. Agape is loving as God loves.

There are three kinds of people which God calls us to show our Agape love to.
1. The lease of these (Losers) i.e beggars, the poor, the prostitutes and etc.

2. The most of these (Winners) i.e Song Leads, athletes, successor etc.

3. The worst of these (Our Enemies) i.e someone who hurt you, make you sad, cheater you.

In the sermon, Reverent uses the example of Jonathan & David for the 2nd kind of people (Winners). Jonathan supported david wholeheartedly w/o jealousy and envy. Knowing that David is more stronger than him in many ways but still Jonathan supported him all the way. This example reminds me of my frienship with David and btw, i am jonathan (The owner of this space) I am good friends with him and for all the while i always supported him as he is to me. My mother used to tell me the story of Jonathan & David and i was quite amused by it. Well, God works in Mysterious way and He is full of surprises. LIKE ME!HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!

Experiences of life

In the office, you may have things to do but when things are done, you just got to find things to do again. Day after day repeat the same thing over and over again. But when your boss ask you to do something you don't know, that's even more interesting as you have to find your own way to impress him/her.

That is just in the working world. How about family? Just a few days ago when i got back to Malaysia (Penang) my grandmother (dad's mom) is in pain and warded in the cardiac ward for 24 hrs of treatment and close care from the docs and nurses. I am sure she is going through unbearable pain although she has not spoken of it. I can still see it from her expression and body language. Hope she is stable now and be able to hold on as long as she can.

Well, we cannot control our future so we ought to take good care of ourselves and also people around us. Regardless of family, friends, colleagues, employer, etc. As long as we help each other, we can make life simpler for many people and also ourselves. Everyone only have 1 chance to live and why not live it to the full, ya? So, being polite and helpful to people is a blessing to both parties because it makes everyone happy.

As for now, i am stucked in the office alone with nothing to do but to write this entry. Waiting for my boss to come back and *Pang* back to work.
